1. You can use a magnifying glass.
2. You can use extension tubes like nikon pk-11A (I don't have one), or you can make one yourself, the idea is to push the lens forward from the senzor. If you do that, the AF won't work but you can manualy adjust the focus.
3. By overlaying another lens over the one you have. I have a nikkor 50mm f1.8 and over it I place with duct tape another 50mm lens (from an old zenit -DOMIPLAN 50MM F2.8 -)This is the technique I use most of the time and the AF works.
Using the second or third technique, you'll have a small spot in focus, the rest of the image will be blurry.
